Robin Tassell FRICS was articled to John Wilson, founder of Wilson & Partners, and qualified for membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1969. Robin became a partner in the firm in 1972 and went on to take the company public in the mid-1980s as part of Connells Estate Agents plc.

Robin then became UK managing director for NCC, one of Sweden's largest property developers and owners, where he successfully developed and disposed of East India Dock, a one million-square foot office complex in London's Docklands.

In 1996, Robin became business development director at Akeler Developments Limited, one of Europe's leading developers of business space for corporations, where clients included Coca Cola, Microsoft, Trinity Mirror, The Post Office and Barclays, among many others. While at Akeler, Robin was responsible for an annual £multi-million development programme across the UK and Continental Europe. He was later elected UK President of CoreNet Global, the worldwide association for real estate executives within global corporations.

Robin left Akeler in 2002, following a brief, but victorious, skirmish with cancer, and moved to Turkey shortly afterwards to begin the next phase of his life and career. Fascinated by the timeless lifestyle, but appalled by stories of people being led astray by unscrupulous estate agents and developers, he decided to establish Property Search Turkey to help foreign buyers to purchase property safely in Turkey. He has since aligned himself with the many reputable estate agents in the Kaş/Kalkan area, while helping to ensure that their less scrupulous competitors are enjoying a decline in business!

Jayne Pearson has worked in the UK property industry since 1987, when she gave up globetrotting and joined DTZ as an administrator. She later moved to Jones Lang LaSalle working as an administrator and writer with Global Realty Advisers – a global investment consortium managed by Jones Lang LaSalle and the Prudential Corporation of America. In 1994, Jayne moved to Jones Lang LaSalle's press office, where she worked as a a senior press officer until she joined property PR and marketing agency McLean Aylwin as a client manager in 1996. She moved to Akeler Developments Ltd 18 months later, heading up its press and marketing department, where she stayed for two years. In 2000, she established marketing consultancy 2XS, working with clients such as Colliers CRE, Akeler Developments Ltd, Thin Air Design, Travelodge, Strutt & Parker and the British Land Company.

During her 20 years in the property industry, Jayne has gained an excellent insight into both commercial and residential property. She has travelled extensively in Turkey and moved to Kaş in 2004, since when she has become a competent Turkish speaker and made many friends among the local population.

Today, Jayne continues to work on a freelance basis with her 2XS clients, though now from a desk with a view of the Mediterranean! However, she is increasingly applying her knowledge of property, analytical abilities and inherent nosiness to assisting Robin with his growing client base.
